About teen coaching

Who is teen coaching for?

It's for teenagers struggling with confidence, focus, responsibility, or a sense of direction.

What happens in a session?

Teens get a space that isn't school and isn't home — where they can be honest without judgment. Sessions are direct, practical, and built around what they're actually facing.

What we tend to work on

  • Building self-awareness and steadier self-management
  • Responsibility and follow-through in daily life
  • Social confidence and communication skills
  • Identifying strengths and areas for growth
  • Academic mindset and goal-setting
The aim of the work: teens who show up differently — at home, at school, and in themselves.

Do you work with teens directly, or through parents?

Both. I work directly with teens one-on-one, and I also work with parents to help them understand and better communicate with their child. Many families benefit from a combination of both approaches.

What stays private between a teen and their coach?

A teen's coaching sessions are private, so they can speak openly — but that privacy is not absolute. Eli is clear up front, with both the teen and the parent, about the named limits: if a teen is at risk of harming themselves or someone else, if a teen discloses abuse, or if there is a severe safety concern.

When one of those limits is reached, Eli involves a parent or guardian and, where needed, the appropriate professionals. Because Eli lives and works in Boca Raton, Florida, he is also required by Florida law (FL Stat §39.201) to report any suspected child abuse, neglect, or abandonment — a duty that applies to every person in Florida, and one of the clear limits on confidentiality.

Owner + attorney to confirm before launch

The exact wording of the teen confidentiality and parental-involvement policy must be confirmed against how Eli actually works, with legal review (coach-08). The named exceptions above are legal duties that apply regardless; the everyday details — what a parent is told, and when — are Eli's to set with counsel.

Where Eli works

Sessions are conducted online via video call, so your teen can join from anywhere in the country. For local families in the Boca Raton area, in-person sessions can be arranged on request.

Because this involves a minor, we ask a parent or guardian to start the conversation.
